WHAT IS THE FOUR SQUARE SUMMER SPIN PROMOTION?
The Four Square Summer Spin promotion is an online digital prize wheel promotion where if you spend $25 or more at Four Square you could win $40, $400 or $4000 cash prizes instantly from our $250K cash prize pool, or you could gain entry to win 1 of 20 Ultimate Summer Prizes that have a combined value of $100,000. Good luck and thanks for shopping at Four Square.
WHEN DOES THE SUMMER SPIN PROMOTION START AND FINISH?
The promotional period runs from 11 January 2021 through to 11:59pm on 7 February 2021 or when stores run out of game tickets, whichever happens first.
Each game ticket carries a unique code which unlocks one Summer Spin online game play to win cash or entry into one of the Ultimate Prize Draws. All prize claims for instant cash must also be completed online by 11:59pm on 7 February 2021.
After that, you'll be too late and any or all unclaimed instant cash prizes become void, so get spinning and winning!
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO BE ABLE TO ENTER?
You need to make a qualifying purchase of $25 per transaction during the promotional period in order to receive one game ticket with a unique code.

Sorry, the following products are not qualifying purchases: Gift Cards, prepaid debit cards, travel card top ups, phone card top ups, tobacco products and New Zealand Lotteries tickets. Vaping products are classified as tobacco products so are also excluded .
WHO CAN ENTER THE SUMMER SPIN PROMOTION?
New Zealand residents 18 years of age or older who have made a qualifying purchase in-store during the promotional period from a participating Four Square store.

To participate, entrants must also have access and use of a valid NZ mobile number, a personal email address and hold a New Zealand bank account as well as agree to the other eligibility terms and conditions which can be read in full on this website. (See clause 30 of T's & C's)

Employees of participating stores are not eligible to enter this promotion.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT TO ENTERING?
Yes, there is. You must be at least 18 years of age to play and have a prize claim validated should you win. Checking the age of participants/winners is part of the prize validation process. Any entrant who is under 18 cannot assign a prize to a friend or family member who are 18 or over. As such, anyone participating under the prescribed age will be disqualified and any instant cash prize claim denied or any winning prize draw entry voided and the prize redrawn. CAN I PARTICIPATE IF I BUY GROCERIES ONLINE?
Nope. Sorry, but online shopping is not currently available through the Four Square website.
CAN I PARTICIPATE IN FOUR SQUARE STORES IN THE SOUTH ISLAND?
This promotion is only running at Four Square stores located throughout the North Island. This promotion is not running in Four Square stores in the South Island.
HOW MANY GAME TICKETS CAN I RECEIVE?
You will receive one (1) game ticket for each multiple of $25 spent per qualifying purchase.

You can receive a maximum of ten (10) game tickets in a single shopping transaction. For example, if you made a qualifying purchase of $289 you would only receive the maximum number of 10 game tickets.

Game tickets can only be obtained at checkouts at the time you have made a qualifying purchase, or from the customer service station when using the self-checkout having made a qualifying purchase. (Self-checkout shoppers need to present their receipt at customer service).
IS THERE ANY LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF GAME TICKET CODES I CAN ENTER?
Yes. You can receive up to a maximum of ten (10) game tickets, each with a unique game play code, in a single transaction as detailed above.
BUT you can only enter a maximum of four (4) game ticket unique codes online per day. If you have more than 4 tickets, come back again tomorrow to spin again!
WHAT PRODUCTS ARE EXCLUDED FROM THE MINIMUM $25 SPEND INSTORE?
Gift Cards, prepaid debit cards, travel card top ups, phone card top ups, tobacco products (including vaping products) and New Zealand Lotteries tickets.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE IN THE PROMOTION?

Please follow the prompts to enter your personal details along with the unique code on your game ticket that you received in-store to play Summer Spin. Make sure you keep your receipt & game ticket as well, as you’ll need them if you win an instant cash prize, or one of our Ultimate Summer Prizes!
WHERE DO I LOCATE THE UNIQUE CODE?
The unique code is located on the front of your game ticket, which you will be handed at the checkout when you spend $25 or more. Enter online at www.summerspin.co.nz to play Summer Spin.
DO THE UNIQUE CODES GIVE MORE THAN ONE GAME PLAY?
Sorry, no. Each code can be used to play and spin the prize wheel once only.
Once you have entered the code on your game ticket and played Summer Spin, the code cannot be used to play again. To play again, you will need to have another unique code meaning you will need to have made at least one more qualifying $25 transaction to receive another game ticket. You can then enter its unique code and try your luck playing Summer Spin again! Good luck.
CAN I THROW MY USED GAME TICKETS AWAY?
Definitely not. Please keep them.
Whether you play and win instant cash or entry into one of the 6 Ultimate Prize Draws for 1 of 20 Ultimate Summer Prizes, please keep ALL YOUR GAME TICKETS AND RECEIPTS every time you play online. This is because you may be asked to produce them to prove your total purchases (till receipts) equate to the number of times you play Summer Spin (unique codes entered) as part of the prize verification process for all big instant cash prize winners. So, if you spin the prize wheel and it lands on one of the big $400 or $4000 instant cash prizes, we'll be asking for all your game tickets and shopping receipts! It would be a rare thing for us to have to invalidate any prize claim, but we need to ensure a level playing field for all our wonderful shoppers so need to make sure nobody plays and wins using game tickets they cannot prove they received legitimately. The rules are there to ensure people who play by them are the deserving winners.
CAN I THROW MY OLD RECEIPTS AWAY?
Definitely not. Please keep them for the same reasons above.
HOW DO I PLAY SUMMER SPIN?
  1. Enter your mobile number and your email address each time you visit www.summerspin.co.nz Please note: If you are playing more than one unique code, (maximum number of 4 allowed per day) you can tick the box and avoid inputting your details again for subsequent plays in same session.
  2. Next enter your unique code.
  3. Then click the PLAY NOW button.
  4. Assuming your code is validated, a new page featuring the Summer Spin Game Wheel will appear.
  5. You can press the drop-down box on the "HOW TO PLAY" panel for full instructions or launch right in and click the CLICK TO SPIN button in the centre of the game wheel.
  6. The game wheel marker will start between two ‘pie segments’ and will start spinning.
  7. It will slow down and come to rest and the segment of the wheel that the arrow is pointing to will determine if you've won an amount of instant cash or entry into one of the 6 Ultimate Prize Draws.
  8. A result message will then appear confirming where the game wheel came to rest.
  9. If you win cash, you will receive a Cash Prize Claim form via email to complete. You must do this before the promotion closes at 11:59pm on 7 February 2021.
  10. If you win entry into one of the 6 Ultimate Prize Draws, then there's nothing else to do but keep your phone handy around 19 February when we draw the 20 winners of our Ultimate Summer Prizes.
  11. That's it. Easy. If you have another code, and haven't exceeded the 4 plays per day maximum, then play again right away or leave the site for another go before she's all over rover.
  12. Make sure you keep your receipts and game tickets in a safe place until the end of the competition, as you’ll need them if you win one of our Ultimate Summer Prizes.
CAN I MAKE THE WHEEL SPIN FASTER OR SLOWER?
Great question but the answer is no sorry. The wheel spins by its own accord and randomly stops on 1 of the 9 segments making up the wheel each time. If one of your game tickets has a unique code that is an instant cash winner, you'll find out when you use it to play!
DO THE ODDS OF WINNING CASH RELATE TO THE NUMBER OF SEGMENTS ON THE GAME WHEEL LIKE AT A CASINO?
Unfortunately, not. We only have 9 segments on our wheel, one for each cash prize and one for each of the Ultimate Summer Prizes. The wheel is for illustration and practical purposes only, and its configuration has no bearing on your chances of winning.
WHAT IF MY UNIQUE CODE DOESN’T WORK/ I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE?
There may be a few reasons why a unique code isn’t working, or why you receive an error message. Reasons could be:
  • that you have already entered and played Summer Spin with the code previously.
  • that you have entered the code incorrectly so worth checking the code and re-entering it
(FYI, whether you enter your code using upper or lower case letters or even a mix of both, this makes no difference as they are interchangeable and our validation system will read them all just fine. DO NOT however, add any spaces before your code or between any of the 7 digits).

If you are still experiencing a problem, go to the CONTACT US tab, send us an email any time of day and we will check your code and get back to you ASAP during normal work hours. You can call the free phone numbers listed in our Terms & Conditions during normal work hours too.
WHAT ARE THE PRIZES I COULD WIN?
Each time anybody enters a valid unique code to play, the Summer Spin Prize Wheel will spin and randomly stop on one of the nine segments it is divided into. The 9 segments are:
  • INSTANT WIN $40 CASH
  • INSTANT WIN $400 CASH
  • INSTANT WIN $4000 CASH
  • ENTRY into "Everything Apple" ULTIMATE PRIZE DRAW for 1 of 2 prizes each worth $9,000
  • ENTRY into "Classic Camping" ULTIMATE PRIZE DRAW for 1 of 2 prizes each worth $8,000
  • ENTRY into "Weber Backyard BBQ" ULTIMATE PRIZE DRAW for 1 of 2 prizes each worth $6,200
  • ENTRY into "Outdoor Furniture" ULTIMATE PRIZE DRAW for 1 of 2 prizes each worth $11,100
  • ENTRY into "Paddle & Pedal" ULTIMATE PRIZE DRAW for 1 of 2 prizes each worth $10,900
  • ENTRY into "Four Square Gift Cards" ULTIMATE PRIZE DRAW for 1 of 10 prizes each $1,000
HOW DO I KNOW IF I’M AN INSTANT CASH WINNER?
You will see the wheel spinning then randomly stop on one segment and then be notified with an on-screen message a few seconds later to confirm the result.

If your spin results in you winning an instant cash prize, you will also be sent a confirmation email. This will contain simple instructions on how to claim your prize money. In the unlikely event you spin and win cash but don’t receive a prize claim email, please check your Spam/Junk folders. Failing that, go to the CONTACT US tab and email us.

You will also be notified instantly on screen if your spin settles on one of the 6 Ultimate Prize Draw segments to advise you have 1 entry into the draw for the Ultimate Summer Prizes the segment specifies. The more entries into the draws you get, the better your chances of winning one of those prizes too so keep playing every time you get another game ticket at Four Square!
HOW AND WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY INSTANT WIN PRIZE?
If your spin results in you winning an instant cash prize, you will also be sent a confirmation email. The email will provide you with a link to click on to open the prize claim form which will ask you to input your details including bank account number, to upload an image of your Four Square shopping receipt and then to email the completed form to the address provided for processing.

Once validated and approved for payment your prize will be paid into your nominated New Zealand bank account. Please allow 28 days to receive your prize money into your account via direct bank transfer. Please note, you may be contacted to provide further shopping receipt details to support previous game plays to complete verification.
WHERE I CAN SEE WHO HAS WON A PRIZE?
You can check out the lucky winners of instant cash online at www.summerspin.co.nz under the WINNERS tab. The list will be updated throughout the promo and we hope you get your name on it!
CAN I WIN MORE THAN ONE PRIZE?
If you receive more than one game ticket and play Summer Spin more than once, you can win more than one instant cash prize. You could also win a cash prize and an Ultimate Summer Prize pack. You cannot however win more than one Ultimate Summer Prize pack.
WHAT ARE THE “ULTIMATE PRIZE DRAWS”?
All unique codes played that don’t result in one of the 3 levels of instant cash prizes get one entry into 1 of the 6 Ultimate Prize Draws. The more entries into each of the 6 draws you receive, the higher the odds of being drawn a winner of 1 of the 20 Ultimate Summer Prizes up for grabs across the 6 draws.
WHEN ARE THE "ULTIMATE SUMMER PRIZES" DRAWN?
The 6 Ultimate Prize Draws will take place on 19 February 2021. Winners of the prizes in each Ultimate Prize Draw will only be drawn from all the valid entries received for each the specific draws by random electronic selection.

All winners will be contacted by mobile phone and/or email and arrangements made for the delivery of their prizes to winners' mainland NZ addresses. Winners should allow for a few weeks for their prizes to be fulfilled.
DO I NEED TO KEEP MY RECEIPT(S)?
Yes! We would like you to keep all purchase receipts for all of your Four Square shops over the promotional period.

If you win a major cash prize, you will need to provide your purchase receipt pertaining to that shop and possibly all previous shops for validation, especially if our system indicates you have played the Summer Spin game on multiple occasions.
DO I NEED TO KEEP MY GAME TICKET(S)?
Yes! We would like for you to keep all of your game tickets as validation of your entry.
CAN I TAKE A PHOTO OF MY GAME TICKETS AND RECEIPTS INSTEAD OF KEEPING THE PHYSICAL COPIES?
Yes! If you win a prize you will need to provide photographs of all of your game tickets and receipts as validation of your entry. If you don’t want to keep the physical copies of your receipts and game tickets, you can photograph them and keep the photographs until the end of the promotion.
I DON'T HAVE AN EMAIL ADDRESS/PHONE NUMBER, HOW CAN I ENTER?
As each person is limited to entering four (4) times per day, we need to collect email addresses and mobile phone numbers to verify who is playing each time. We also need the details to contact you if you win! Our best suggestion is to team up with a family member or friend who has a mobile and email address and participate in the promotion using their contact details to log on with. If you do this, we suggest you discuss with them in advance how any prizes you may win using their details will be divvied up!
I DON'T HAVE A MOBILE NUMBER CAN I STILL ENTER?
The form will allow you to enter a land line number. Please include the area code, please do not include any space, dashes etc before, after or in between and please do not use the autocomplete function.

Our best suggestion is to team up with a family member or friend who has a mobile and email address and participate in the promotion using their contact details to log on with. If you do this, we suggest you discuss with them in advance how any prizes you may win using their details will be divvied up!
WHAT IF MY MOBILE IS FROM OVERSEAS, IS THAT OK?
Overseas mobile numbers will not be accepted by the promo website as the input field has room for the local telecoms carrier’s prefix to be entered (021, 027 etc) and actual mobile number. Any email address can be entered but all entrants must be NZ residents aged 18 & over. And prizes will only be paid into NZ bank accounts or couriered to NZ mainland addresses.
I DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO THE INTERNET, HOW CAN I ENTER THE DRAW?
Without internet access, you cannot participate we’re afraid. Perhaps you could access the promotion using a friend or family member’s internet access and their email address too if you don’t have one of those either. Failing that, we are sorry but the promotion is an online game so internet access is manadatory to participate.
HOW CAN YOU ENSURE THAT THE PRIZES ARE SPREAD OUT EVENLY IF I GET A CODE AT THE END OF THE PROMOTION?
Good question. We have that well covered. The instant cash prizes are randomly allocated across the entire stock of game tickets. The odds of winning a $40, $400 or $4000 instant cash prize are the same at the end of the promotion as they are if you enter a code on the first day. Instant cash prizes are won throughout the promo so there are less prizes left in the pool as the promo progresses, but there are equally less game tickets remaining that haven’t been played yet.

All Ultimate Summer Prizes are drawn after the promo closes so all entries in those Ultimate Prize Draws also have equal chance of being drawn. The more entries that you have into the Ultimate Prize Draws, the more chances you have to win!
